Seed pod shells are cleaned and sealed. I use a polymer clay mix of prosculpt regular and/or light mixed with super sculpey or cernit. Eyes are either glass, acrylic, seed beads, or hand painted and I use natural hair fibers for their hair. They are hand painted with genesis heat set paints and acrylics, then sealed with a polymer matte finish varnish. 

Peruvian Elf is from a photo of a Peruvian woman watching a bull fight. She is made from cernit and fimo polymer clay painted with genesis heat set paints.
